Desak Putera Cottages
We really enjoyed our stay at Desak Putu Putera Cottages. They are located close to the Main Street and its an easy 15 minute walk to the central market. The location makes you feel like you are in the jungle- without those sneaky and quick moving monkeys. Lots of birds and butterflies. They are about an hour to an hour and one half from Denpasar. The pool was lovely and was just the right temperature. Very refreshing. The morning breakfast was very nice but it would have been nice if there was a change in the morning menu. The food was good and the portions were perfect.
Bale Bali Inn Ubud
Clean, spacious, modern air conditioned rooms with large outdoor Balinese shower. Rooms Overlooking pool. Family homestay with lovely genuinely warm and welcoming family - and their cute little puppy. Breakfast included which is brought to your room and varies from day to day (omelet/banana pancakes etc).
Good WiFi too and only 5 min walk into town. Bale Bali Inn Ubud Only 5 minutes stroll up a slight hill from the palace and main street. This was like the old days when you stayed in a family losmen but a lot more stylish.
